I put an SSD on an Odroid (like a PI) for an LMS server 3+ years ago because I did not want a spinning drive, and it runs off the PI USB power. It just runs. The amount of writing to the cache is hardly going to stress the SSD - I run them in desktops and my work laptop which runs 24x365 and ne

Yeah, starting to appreciate that. I think I'll have a go at installing a fresh Ubuntu OS (from 'here' (https://jwills.co.uk/projects/joggler-xubuntu/download/) perhaps), then following the instructions for installing Jivelite from scratch (e.g. 'here' (http://www.hagensieker.com/jivelite/index.p

I have Jogglers and a pcp with touch screen. The Joggler is much more aesthetically pleasing and also more stable. It’s easy to knock the pcp over but not so the Joggler. I use the Joggler more as a now playing display with an SB3 with it’s screen off and generally control via iPeng VB2.4[/B]

Hi DJanGo, Thanks for your suggestion! I was aware of that part of the wiki. That is where I found that user "squeezeboxserver" needs to have read access to the music files. That can be done indirectly as member of a group (as in the wiki with the LMS group). The new setup with ACL on my dat

I made a start at getting Jivelite to run on a Joggler. Some progress, but some snags. This particular forum doesn't seem like the right place to discuss my efforts, so I started a 'new thread' (https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?110040-Jivelite-on-a-Joggler) in the Linux/Unix forum.

Agreed that the OP would/should not have any real SSD wear putting the cache on the SSD, but using a cheap USB stick for the cache would mean no writing to the SSD by LMS, so why not? Because you want SSD for performance. By putting the most performance critical part on the slowest storage this
