About 4 months ago I switched from a windows server to a dedicated linux
box running Vortexbox 2.5.
However, I've noticed across the board the volume levels of the streams
are lower than before. This is specifically causing issues for my sons
bedroom where a 2x 50w amp running 4 speakers is now

On my older DN model the USB connection is for reading media files from
a stick
Is budget an issue?
If not then I would suggest that you purchase a built Raspberry Pi
player such as - https://www.allo.com/sparky/digione-player.html (you'd
need Max2Play or install piCorePlayer)
Or build one yourself from scratch - much more fun.

Is there an option to customize the WebGUI or to use another web gui? I
practically do everything by folders instead of mp3-tags so it would ne
nice to have certain directories directly accessible via webGUI and
there on top of it.
