The network.squeezenetwork logging was set to INFO, rather than ERROR.
I'm not sure how that happened, but it seems to have solved the issue.
That said, does mysqueezebox really have to request player info every 15
msec?

The
Material caches the artist and album lists (but not lists of albums by
an artist), and uses the 'LMS last scan time' to know when the cache is
invalid. If artists from online services are to be merged, I'd need
someway of knowing when my cache is invalid.

For Linux ARM it is, but for WIndows it require a new compilation that
is all but a little and easy work!

If you look carefully at the log extract in the first post there seems
to be an anomaly
The folder is named as S:\Music\Music - Classical
but the scan seems to be looking at Classicall - with 2 Ls at the end
