My LMS 8.0 have worked fine since I installed it, controlling an old duet receiver. But today it playback suddenly stopped and LMS says "No player". What happened here? Did the duet suddenly die? Could it be something else? The /var/log/squeezeboxserver/server.log has messages like this:

The OS can be run as a live usb stick (with persistance). I popped in into a late 2012 Mac mini Installed the LMS 8.1.1 amd.64.deb and get the same results Code: squeezeboxserver_safe started. Logitech Media Server died. Restarting.
