Guess you are using LMS 8.0 or later ?
In that case thats the problem because my plugins arent supported on
8.0 and later. See this post for more information about the current
state and the options available:

Noted in scanner.log that LMS (and Custom Scan) scanner process reads

In this particular library, cue sheets should be ignored (even though
many still remain there) because images have already been split into
individual files.

Indeed it does. And it looks especially nice on the Material mobile

Sending commands to LMS is possible in general, but maybe look at
'Squeezelite-X'
which provides some keyboard integration on Windows. (Never used it
though.)

Would you know what tag they're stored in? I'm not sure we're reading
it. But if you go to a track's details, you can get the raw tags within LMS.

Yeah, Windows needs more love, but because of that LMS is a lot easier
for me to install and update on Windows than on Linux.
I ran LMS on a QNAP NAS for years and maintaining it was always a
nightmare for me, as i don't know my way around Linux.

Not even when I change the name from "Various Artists" to
"Compilations". I think the issue is that the option "Group compilation
albums together" is missing when you "Use two seperate lists for All
Artists and Album Artists".

Me neither. Whenever I encounter any such file I use it to split the
wav/flac/ape and (re)code the individual tracks to CD quality flac (16
bit). Which I'm pretty sure that the software also does when the input
is flac already, so it's not a simple `dd`
