I have patched the Audio::Scan library and confirm it works then
LMS 8.2 on Odroid-C4 - *SqueezeAMP!*, 5xRadio, 5xBoom, 2xDuet, 1xTouch,
1xSB3. Sonos PLAY:3, PLAY:5,
That worked. Thanks.

Yes. I am going to look for one example

I think you are right. But it is a strange behaviour. Your idea could

Hi a again:
All of you solved my problems with the artistsort tag.
I am having problems with the compilation tag. LMS, tells me that some
discs are compilation. But the compilation tag in YATE (I am using this
software is unchecked).
What is happening? Could you help me?

When I skip forward from the start of a track by 3 minutes the track
actually skips forward by around 1 minute. If I skip forward by 3
minutes to a few seconds from the end of a track it actually appears to
skip back a few seconds as the track played for 3 minutes 9 seconds

I installed version 8.2.0 via the .deb that was automatically downloaded
(logitechmediaserver_8.2.0_amd64.deb).
After installation, several of my squeezeboxes (a version 2 and
piCorePlayer on a Raspberry Pi) worked fine.
However, two slimp3s quit working.
On downgrading to 8.1.2
Interested to check out the improved Podcasts (uninstalled this long
ago), would use for some music ones. Does it have resuming?... or maybe
it would work well in conjunction with Bookmarks plugin?
Thank you, Michael!

IIRC the default cover art rules are as follows
If there is embedded cover art in first track of album use it
Otherwise use cover.jpg or folder.jpg or as defined in LMS settings
Then look for other jpg in album folder
Pretty much all music software

ok, that's an issue because it's a "volatile" file. I assume you're

ah... mp4 is a container in which you can put various codecs/formats,
including alac and aac. There is, in LMS like in

i tried an old LMS 8.1.1 from January on Windows and they wouldn't play

decoding fails there

Not with ALAC in particular, but I did a fair bit of mods. Do you have
these files?

It sounds like the old issues of files not streamable because index and
metadata are at end of the file. When

Some file formats have an index with a table of time and byte

@digimaster - can the users of your package select which LMS build they
want to use? I'm seeing a surprisingly high number of QLMS users among
the early adaptors of LMS 8.3. While this doesn't hurt at this point
(there's no difference between 8.3.0 and 8.2.0), there could be times of
less
I got loads of DSD DSF files and it would have save me tonnes of space
(roughly 40%) if they were packed with wavpack. But there is an issue.
Tags of Wavpacked DSF files are displayed incorrectly. Basically the
tags of *.wv files are ignored by LMS.
REPLAYGAIN_TRACK_GAIN tag which is essential

It's based on this idea:

I checked the Docker LMS tag and I have “latest” in my Docker LMS
package. I think if I download and restart the package, as you tell me,
I will have 8.2, but do I have to do all the config process again ? or
this is not necessary
If correctly set up (mappings to folders outside the container

Well, "moving the time slider to within a few seconds of the end of a
track" is only the condition that I found problem occurs. LMS is an
awesome software and I found it seems to have problem of playback
synchronization, like Spotify Connect, hires music files playback...
Hope it will be better

Thanks philippe_44 for detailed explanation the LMS! I learn so much
from your reply. I am surprised that there is a difficulty for LMS to
determine the accurate position of music file. I am not familiar with
music streaming, so I could not give an useful technical suggestion. I
describe more
