Networking can be really tricky due to the fact that TCP/IP is a fairly
stupid protocol does not feature any self-discovery or advertising
methods. Running a system that tries to hide this from the user and also
not offer any methods to automate how it should behave doesn't really
help as well.

Hi
New user of LMS. Setup on MacBook with MacOS 12. Everything works as
expected all on local drive. I have a separate SSD with more music on
that I’d like to add. It recognised the drive but I can not select
the right folder. It doesn’t see it and the rescan is
unsuccessful. The drive is format
Not a Mac user, but your description is a bit vague. When you say "It
doesn't see it" what is "It". Do you have music already in your LMS
library from your local disk? LMS can't work with multiple root
directories for your collection, so you'd either have to put everything
on the local drive or o

In the Security & Privacy settings on your mac you can grant an
application access to disks. You need to do this for perl, perl5.18 and
/usr/bin/sh (IIRC). Please search the forum for similar reports (search
for mac in the subject line. You should find the instructions.

My work VPN client, also Cisco AnyConnect, is configured the same way in
that it blocks all local connections once the link is established and
