I use Material skin with the sort order YEAR,ARTIST,ALBUM to sort the
albums in the album view.
I have a few compilation albums like 'all singles', 'all Peel sessions'
etc and I set the YEAR of the tracks to the year in which the track was
actually released (and not the year the compilation

I thought (hoped) so as well but I have a CD set called 'Singles
1978-2016' on which the first track (of the first CD) is from 1978 and
the last track (of the last CD) is from 2016 but the album info (via
more) show
I confirmed that I see a "random" year of the year of an album when the
tracks on the album (or the album set) have different years.
I tagged all tracks manually to set the correct year via mp3tag.
I can see the correct year when check "(...) More" in the web UI but I
see the year of a random tr
