While I was writing my previous post, the problem happened on my system,
so I was able to track it. In fact, it's a potential rare risk I have
identified and well documented (glad I take the time to write comments
in my code) where I don't have a good solution. It's exactly when

OK, it finally errored again after many hours of happy listening without

Same issue. Playback gets stuck at the end of the track.
This is with a single cast player (cast group) playing a
Playing for several hours now and still not a single glitch!
Will keep an eye on it for the next couple of days off course but so far
so good.

far. No crossfade possible.

How can I make the crossfade work with streaming media ?
Tried with both Qobuz and Spotty and both do not crossfade between
songs, while songs in the local library will.
Crossfade setting set to 10s / fade between different samplerates tried
both on and off.
Tried with both 7.9.1 as
