"hidden" in plain sight - you can delve more deeply via the changelog

Ok, I understand.
Maybe I should continue to download 8.2.0 from time to time - just to
enjoy the fruits from your "hidden" efforts
Anyway - as I said; I'm very happy with LMS. Keep up the good work

Thank you - I think I understand now.
Can you indicate approximately when you expect to officially release
v8.2.0 ?
Later this year (aka. "no").

I'm sorry for my confusion. You seem to be doing this a bit different
from what I expected.
So, if I understand you correctly now - changes are being made to 8.2.0
"as-we-speak" ?
S, if I download and install 8.2.0

But I often get notifications about new fixes. It must have been a
considerable collection by now. Still, no signs of an 8.3 (or even
8.2.1) release?
8.2.0 has not been released yet. It's still under development.
When can we expect to see an update on Docker HUB?

@mherger, haven't heard from you since February.
LMS version 8.2.0 has been running very stable in my container
environment since, and I'm very pleased with it.
After all, the DB contains some 10k albums with more than 130k tracks.
Still it is surprisingly responsive and handles multiroom sync

Well, that's just what I can't see for LMS when using QNAP's docker
service.
But for other containers, like i.e. Home Assistant, I can easily see and
distinguish between what is dev versions and what is released
But if I use the integrated Docker HUB interface in my QNAP NAS, it
looks as if 8.2.0 is the official stable release:

When an update is announced, I was expecting to se 8.2.1
8.2.0 has not been released yet. You're using work in progress. Once
8.2.0 has become the release, you'll see

When I look at Docker HUB directly, the latest stable is 8.1.2
33504
But if I use the integrated Docker HUB
The above info does not contain any reference to version number. All it
has is a date.
But when I look in Docker HUB, no new updates are available.
There are new builds for 8.2 available whenever there's a change - which
can be more than once a day, or once every few days. Depending on the
Please apologize for re-opening this thread again.
I currently run v8.2.0 in a docker container, and from what I find on
Docker HUB, this is the most recent version:

Still, I regularly get reminders of available updates:

Just one last comment; Why does the update notification disappear when I
restart LMS ?
It's not a persistent value stored somewhere. The update check is run
regularly. When the result to the check is positive, you'll get the note
again.

Ok, I can do that.
Just one last comment; Why does the update notification disappear when I
restart LMS ?
Wouldn't it be better if it stayed put as long as an update is
available?

To mee, this does not look like just a plug-in update ?
Yes, that's a notification about an LMS update. What do you get when you
click the "click here"? You'll have to update your container yourself
(or using some external tool as outlined elsewhere). But LMS will NOT
update itself when run

So that means that currently, even though I do restart every time I see
the update notification, nothing actually happens, or... ?
Are you sure it's not plugin updates that cause the prompt?
