squid tries to resolve the name. So far, so good.
But I don't want squid to search for 56 tries and 304.2 seconds.

All,
I have been in problem of Squid since few weeks ago. The program suddenly
went slowdown till could not able to serve the request. Then I tried to use
another machine (same model and capacity), setting the Linux (2.4.20)
configuration and parameter to the basic (default) setting.

Hello Everyone,
I searched the archives and ran thru the 600+ threads I found, but either
missed something or couldn't find the answer. The problem I'm having is

Why don't you try one of the STABLE releases (the latest being
STABLE4) instead of a pre-release version? If you have problems with
STABLE4, post to the list again.

Hi,
doing some experiments wird squid_ldap_auth it works fine, when I have the
attribute "userPassword". But unfortunately I have to use the attribute
"password". Does anybody know how I can setup this ? AFAIK I can just tell
squi_ldap_auth that it should use a specif attribute for the login name
Dear User
I am using RedHat 6.2 linux and have tried to upgrade my squid to squid
1.4 stable6. When i issue the rpm -Uvh squid-2.4.STABLE6-6.6.2.i386.rpm
it returns like
rpmlib(PayloadFilesHavePrefix) is needed
liblber.so.1 is needed by squid2.4 stable6
libldap.so.1 is needed by squid 2.4 stable6
All,
I am looking to provide automatic encryption between my browser and my
proxy server. I searched Google for pages providing a detailed
solution. I found a couple of solutions: moving to version 3 or using
Stunnel/SSLProxy. I would prefer not to use version 3 as it is a
developmental. S

Hi,
I am running squid-2.5STABLE4 with the patch regarding spaces in login names in an

Hello.
I run Squid 2.4 since 2 years without problems.
