Markus,
Adding -r to the helper:
auth_param negotiate program /usr/lib/squid/squid_kerb_auth -r
auth_param negotiate children 10
auth_param negotiate keep_alive on
..results in:

Markus and Amos, thx for your replies! But are you sure there is no
caching for "auth_param" helpers? Because I could swear that the H(A1)
at the digest hashing is only computed once. At least I think I
remember it this way. Hmm, I guess I have to look at that again more
closely.

Hi All,
I'm currently running some squid proxies that serve a lot (3k+) of
users. Until recently they were using the NTLM authenticator that is
shipped with squid (/usr/lib64/squid/ntlm_auth), but due to countless
problems recently I've finally set them to use the helper provided by

Hello,
I'm seeing a lot of these messages in one of my proxies:
aclMatchExternal: 'nt_group' queue overload. Using stale result.
What does that mean? Previously I had problems with queue overloads
but it used to deny access. Also this particular proxy seem to be a
lot slower than the other ones
Sorry it is in the 3-HEAD, but for testing you might use the version from
http://squidkerbauth.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/*checkout*/squidkerbauth/squid_kerb_auth/squid_kerb_auth.c?revision=1.43
which is my independent test source.

Remember that you need the devel stuff for compiling squid against
openssl. Chec
What errrors? Do you have -dev packages installed?
Try with "apt-get buiild-dep squid3" and "apt-get install ilbssl-dev".
There is no good answer to your last question. :)

Use squid_ldap_group to check group membership. wbinfo_group.pl is or
should be deprecated.
One thing, use concurrency=1 except you know that the helper support that :)

Ok, I'm able to get some of this working right... Although it's not
quite what I expected for results. My config is below...
First, I think since I have myserver in the acl then the AUP page
doesn't display if the user has their home page set to
"http://www.myserver.com";.

The dry run of squidGuard says that your url and domainlists are empty.
Can you check whether your .db files really contain data? It seems to me
that this no problem with squid using the redirector, but with the
redirector not having urls to block.
I would check the permissions of /usr/local/squid
