Hi Amos Thanks for the response. The explenation was excellent. The firewall in my case is an Aruba wireless controller. It has a web interface that does not have a route only option. I will have to see if I can do it from the console on the controller. I will post back when I get it working.

I think the reason thats occurring is because that url is behind a load balancing scheme, or CDN which is loading from a different web server, notice the ip is different, so since its coming from different hosts, squid is redownoading the content. I have the same irritation with microsofts cdn and

You will have to supply the HTTP headers sent to Squid by cleint and server for each of those transactions. FWIW the URLs you supplied show up as 404 errors in the mysite.com CDN. Did you alter the log? Amos
