I decided to try squid 2.5-stable9-20050402, and after cleaning all my cache
files and rebuilding it again, fired-up squid -DF, I got this error msg after
serving packets for about 10 seconds:

after tried to change to coss, work just fine.but it keep restarting squid
daemon all the time after 10 seconds receiving packets.
changed to ufs. work stable and running well.

I mostly using diskd all the time, and when the new coss arrive, i never gave
chance to coss config.
I used to use freebsd 5.X in my system and ..
what is the best choice to turn my DISKD aside and give a COSS fully functional
and make a better service .. squid-3-devel with COSS or squ

latest install with WCCP enable FreeBSD-5.X and installation options are:
Squid Cache: Version 2.5.STABLE9-20050404
configure options: --prefix=/usr/local/squid --enable-delay-pools
--enable-snmp --disable-ident-lookups --enable-removal-policies
--enable-storeio=diskd,ufs,coss --disab
Pentium Xeon on Linux and Pentium 4 on FreeBSD...
well that's already tell the different whatever you install and compare any
service on both OS..
Xeon probably scale better...
