In free sotware I know of the following FTP proxies - frox, which apparently has some integration with Squid for caching. - SuSe firewall suite, which only includes a FTP proxy even if called suite. I haven't tested any of them extensively so I cannot tell their quality. Regards Henrik

Most likely your browser does not know how to connect to your Squid by the name your Squid thinks it has (visible_hostname, or the host name). Take a look at the HTML code of a FTP directory listing. It contains URLs which are supposed to end up in the Squid proxy.. Regards Henrik Ampugnani,
