Hi,
amazingly IE11 works perfect. Absolutely no HEAD-request appears in Squid
Logs and the video loads in seconds.
But this is no real solution for our IE9 / IE10 problem, because we are
forced to use IE10 (or IE9) because we must use some web applications which
are not supported with IE11 yet.
I setup a squid2.7-HEAD5 with default squid.conf besides

Set up IE to use this proxy explicitly.
And then used IE to access the video in assmann.de.
About 5s to show up, no problem. But I still can not find the HEAD-request
in my logs. Strange.
My IE-version is 11.0.96

@Eliezer Croitoru-2: You mentioned that Firefox and IE does not load a site
on the same machine. That is not the whole truth: Firefox works 100%
perfect on every machine, only IE stops with that HEAD message in IE log.
I tested this behavior on different workstations, and it's always the same:
Hm, your issue seems to be similar to this one, IE-specific, too:

Yes, it is possible that this is our problem, too.
But i don't understand the solution which is provided in the linked thread:
It is necessary to change your server process to expect a HEAD request.

No, this has to be done on the server itself (assmann.de).
So it more looks like an IE-server issue, not really a
Hi,
Fiddler stucks on step 2, which is the HEAD message (where also Squid-Log
stucks):

And here the request header details:

PS: Without a proxy there is no problem with this request in Internet

Comparing your info with my squid logs, the HEAD-req is missing in my
squid-log. So I will first do a second test, to make shure. And try to
disable cache in my squid.
What I notice in your fiddler, there is another squid3.1.12 in-between. When
you directly access
the video, without your squid,

Hi,
the problem does not appear on the original side of the WDR, but the video
is embedded on the website http://www.assmann.de . (You will find it on the
left side, underneath the great scrolling banner (where the red camera icon
is displayed and the headline Guter Ausblick is written)).

I did following:

Used IE to access www.assmann.de and then cliecked the red camera in the

Video (from WDR) showed up. No problem.
