That's a very complicated question. Much depends on the nature of the code
you're running!
A general principle is that compiled languages are faster to execute than
interpreted ones, but it is common to front-load the interpreting process
nowadays, i.e. JIT compilation.

in this case this DNS record comes from a provider, and they want to receive
traffic over it. So, I doubt that this was done intentionally from them, its
more an oversight or process issue on their side.
