Truthfully IMHO, I think that the tanks are safe enough for the propane mix.
I can only think that the manufacturers are playing safe at this time for
their own protection. There are so many people suing each other for some of
the silliest things. Most of us don't read the instruction sheets

Well it looks like I'm late with my Saturday trial run report on my

A little side note on locating Butane, I discovered two more locations
for Butane cans in 7+ oz. size. One is a marine supply store the other is
REI an outdoor camping / backpacking store. REI also has some cute single
burner stoves that might be used for a vertical boiler.

Your cautions about using butane are well-spoken and duly noted.
Unfortunately, it's not a matter of saving a little that pushes people
to use propane/butane mixtures. The gas supply is terribly
unreliable in most places, so sometimes the choice is not whether
to spend a little more,
