O.S engines uses very few gaskets--the mating parts in the cyl/valve chest faces are very accurately machined. Admittedly. 3/4" scale, but that shouldn't make a difference. I agree with some, that sealants shouldn't be neccessary and can be trouble. I usually use linen paper for the smaller locos.
