My guess is -- that whomever was remembering the buildup of a "Pacific"
using "Lady Anne" builders kits from Roundhouse. Paul Kenney was in the
process of finishing those plans when he moved out of the train business. I

Are you sure we're not talking about the conversion of a 'Roundhouse Fowler' to the
"Liberty Belle II' by Brandbright? If I'm not mistaken, the wheel arangement is
similar to the Argyle, and would make more sense than an Argyle conversion since you
have to lose the sidetanks.

Are you sure it was an Argyle? There have been several Lady Anne conversions,
and I think Kevin Strong's 4-coupled loco was from a Billy (?) -- but I haven't
yet heard of an Argyle American conversion. Seems like it would be a pretty
complete strip-down and rebuild
