Hi,
I've run into some more obstacles and learned a little more about
gears...
1. Having built gears from the svn trunk source for both Fedora and Ubuntu
(sudo make BROWSER=FF3 CC=gcc34 CXX=g++34 MKSHLIB=g++34 MODE=opt -- for
Fedora), I have verified that on an already installed gears in
Joyride = 2129 contains the packages for this release.
The bundled version of the activities can be found here:
http://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/ReleaseTeam/CurrentRelease/Sucrose#Fructose_modules_bundled
Enjoy,
Simon

Hi everyone,
I've been out of it for a while now, one of the things pending was Read

How tricky is it?
Seeing how I know I really need it... give me some pointers.

Good. So you have a build that gets you the right GG for FF3 on F9 -
almost there :-) If you are testing with Browse, bear in mind that we
may need different tweaks - as I suspect Browse is closer to FF2 than
to FF3, but Tomeu will probably know better. Of course, we first need
the FF3

Hi Simon,
Accepted. I reviewed the code and tested successfully on the xo as
well.
Since this has been accepted by two members of the release team you
are good to go

Thanks very much!

Wow, I'm surprised that this isn't considered a blocker. Metadata is
useless if it's not kept, and the Journal/session model is built on
top of the idea. I'd be very happy to see this working in 8.2.0.
