In my opinion Sugar Labs participation in Google Summer of Code is really
important for our community and every year we get a lot of major
improvements to our projects, because of students working in this program.
I am definietely for making an application, I am also ready to help as a
mentor.
Thank you very much for this year Google Code-in! It was awesome time in my
life, undoubtly beneficial for me and - as I believe - to entire Sugar Labs
community. We altogether did a lot of good for SL and I am really happy
because of it. I am also really happy I could in general take a part in

Heh, the topic of website was already considered few months ago and we
couldn't reach consesus about final view - we had two versions: mine and
Sam's one. We probably need to rethink about expected effect and work on
already started project :)

I like it Sam. It looks really nice, however I've doubts with UI for Sugar
website. We should discuss it together on IRC talk about advantages and
disadvantages of my and your solution and then create something good. Is
that ok for you?

Hi,
I've created new Sugar Labs website project and published it at
http://sugarlabs.org/~tymon . It is based on Jekyll, Bootstrap, CSS, some
plugins and JS. Its current design has been invented by my friend Piotr
Antosz (Boquete).
Other Sugar community member has created other UI for website
it now. There was no
real difference.

Three seconds on a modern system is still a surprisingly long time

include those separate files into the main file?
