I think adding standard applications to sugar will not be good,
not for "purity" but because we lost many features from Sugar:
consistency, the use of the Journal, the simple interface.
In the practice, you can use Gnome to launch these apps (if they are not
Sugarized)

it's a bit silly that we need to reinvent everything because we have a
thing for simplicity.
