Is THIS the sort of thing you want Tony? - see the attachment,
(which I have kept small to avoid the 'filter' for this List).
You might be able to find suitable maps, via "Google" - though
as Frank Evans suggests, a good 'chart supplier' will be best
ptional graphics-design capabilities which it offers.
Even if you simply wanted 'picture enhancement' software, then those
free programs available for "RiscOS" will beat "PhotoShop" anyday !
Some 'emulators' are available, for "RiscOS" - if you wanted to run
such software on a typical "Windows" computer, so you can try it out.
However, those may only offer things like "VRPC" or "RPCemu" - which
would not match the capabilities, of any modern "RiscOS" machines !

As a teacher, I would prefer to have some independent opinions from
sundial 'experts' - before considering its use for my own school, as
this could be a "total waste of money" with no 'educational value'.
I look forward to any information - either to the List, or
s on how THAT aspect of the dial can actually work.
As far as I am aware, it is NOT meant to be any form of 'moon-dial'.
I shall forward any 'feedback', to Brian Macfarlane himself - as it
may perhaps help him to modify/improve a future version of his book.
