Dear Aleks and all,
I have more information about the sundial sculpture in Buenos Aires.
After finding out that it is in the Zoological garden, el Jardín

What I found is: The sundial is in Jardín Zoologico de Buenos Aires and the

needed though. AD, the Anno Domini seems a bit too overloaded, good

I wish you all a happy winter solstice ( in that we agree, don't we?)

Great story Frank!!
I'm fond of celebrations and I've introduced in the Museum where I
work all the equinox and solstices as special days to get together
and have a symposium ( a good Greek invention )
Lets see if someone living in the tropics comes out with a Noon on Top feast
Keep telling storie
Thanks to all about the Perigee explanations, and thanks to the Greeks too,
my favourites in History. I just came across yesterday that the word Museum
comes from ancient greek meaning the "place were the Muse lives", and that's
quite good working in Museums!!

Yes I did see *The Glorious Full Moon* as I was returning from work, just
driving over the bridge something made me turn my head round and there it

Later on the TV news in the Catalan television (TV3) there was the Weather

It's always a great fun and delight to see Aleksandr Boldyrev aproach to
sundials. Clever, useful and with a sense of humor.
I didn't know about that video and enjoyed it, in fact it comes just the day

I've planed to celebrate winter solstice at work with a group of people
dedicated to look after and promote the Citadel of Roses.
We'll do it with a "Stone Aperitive" following the tale of Mullah
