Sorry to hear that. I'm running freenet under native jdk 1.4.2 on
FreeBSD-CURRENT here, and it's performing quite splendidly.

I use many different OSes (including Linux) in different circumstances.
I simply run Windows at home because it runs Windows apps that I use
(Wine is still unreliable and slow). I am a strong believer in Linux and
its security and reliability, but it simply does not support some of my
hardware
Let's don't get into a O.S. war. Apple/Mac lovers eventually matured to
realize that not everyone could be converted. I suspect that many refused
to be converted because of prejudice of those rich Mac owners.
