There is one issue with my WiFi that drives me crazy:
Freerunner nearly never associates with my WPA proteced AP. It connects for
about 7 seconds and disconnects afterwards, (goto: begin of sentence) ...
If I get connected (that happened 1 time since release of Om2008.8) the

FSO at times seems a lot more usable than ASU because it doesn't have any of
the old 2007.2 orange themeing. In ASU it tends to oversize the icons and
cause them fit poorly in toolbars and such (see the terminal and tangoGPS).
Is there any way for a user to remove the orage gtk+ theme from ASU?

The iptables program is just an interface to the netfilter filtering and
routing code in the linux kernel. If it's not there, then I presume some
other firewall system IS in place, you just need to ensure it permits the
traffic you want, IE traffic over usb0 or whatever device name is assigned,

Can someone please explain to me, or point me to some documentation on
the format of the opkg config files.

Hello,
I have an Asus EEE with the default linux distro (Debian) and it doesn't
have Iptables installed.
Is it possible to setup USB Networking without Iptables?
Thanks.

Have you tried updating DFU or downloading the Om 2008 image again? The Image
could be corrupt.

Hi Gang,
I'm trying to reflash my phone. It was already at 2008.8 release (8/8/8
build) and I'm having problems reflashing it to this build. I run:
./dfu-util a rootfs -R -D ./builds/200808-8/Om2008.8.rootfs.jffs2
and I get:
Opening USB Device 0x:0x...
Claiming USB DFU Runtime Interface..

yeah -- I didn't have time to dance around trying to get deeper
understanding of the problem -- thus I just removed them both (since
navit depends on speech-dispatcher) -- I guess I could simply stop and
disable speech dispatcher from being run with the same effect

Sounds like this bug:
http://docs.openmoko.org/trac/ticket/1599
Executing "pactl suspend-sink 1" prior to suspend, and "pactl
suspend-sink 0" upon resume will work around this issue.

compare the checksum of the package description and the package itself or

Ok, it's from the /etc/rcS.d/S01exquisite. Both S01exquisite and S01psplash
search for splash=false resp. pspl
During an update/upgrade cycle I may have accidentally answered "yes" to a
question about changing the default configuration files and can no longer
connect to any PC via usb. Attempts to do so get the following:

i do not really understand how u-boot works (i was surprised to learn that
the actual menu resides on yet another partition).
but i think something like grub does would be nice:
