Title: NAT/port forward not coping with CARP?
Hi again - we've reached what should hopefully be the final hurdle before getting our new dual pfSense boxes into service. This time it's NAT/port forwarding.
We had a few simple rules setup on the old system, which obviously work fine. On the
Mmmm.
Why you don't use scp? scp aplication.tar router:/tmp for example.

For a CARP setup the real IPs shouldn't be used for anything other then the
firewall itself (as these can't failover), so you should use the CARP VIPs for
both, portforwardings and outbound NAT.

Apologies - I now see that you *can* set the external address in the GUI! I'd missed that in my attempts to speed things up by editing config files directly; that option didn't appear in the reference files I'm using.
Hmmm, still no joy. I've fixed all the NAT settings with the correct interface
and external IPs (virtuals). But it's the same story - the firewall logs show
connections being allowed to pass, and being directed to the correct target,
but we get no actual response. There must be a missing
You are sure your internal hosts use the CARP LAN VIP as gateway?

keywords and all was well. The transparent redirection function (in the
squid service setup page) worked fine.
It appears that after updating to
