I am running Fedora 17 XFCE. The keyboard suddenly stops functioning in
pidgin. I found one workaround cited on google whereby one chooses input
method and reselects "system ( simple ). This works for entry boxes used

No, changing the port will not automatically make the connection use SSL.

Hi, could you please tell me if I can in anyway configure SSL to work with
pidgin. There doesn't seem to be an option for ICQ.
