Large number of files to be removed upon addon install

Because of a bad update file in a recent ubuntu update, I have had to reinstall my os. It was 32bit before but now Ive gone 64. Im installing purple-facebook and the number of files to be removed around well over hundred. Can anyone using Ubuntu 14 or 15 running 64bit verify this? -- Registered

Hello, I have the most current version of pidgin and ever since I upgraded to it there is a delay when I press send on my messages. It delays for about 3-5 seconds then it will send it. Also when a message comes in the notification sound is also delayed. Thank you
