You might have better luck if you write a message. You might have better
luck still if you contact your IT department, as they're the only ones
that can help.

to make sure we didn't have any firewall issues or anything blocking Pidgin. I

Hi,
I've been a use for a while and I just returned from vacation.
My AIM account was functioning properly when I left, but I'm unable to connect
today and receive an error stating incorrect password.
I haven't changed my password recently, and I'm using the same password that
enabled me to log

Hi,
I've been unable to log into my pidgin account since this Monday September
30th.
No buddies are displayed and at the bottom of my buddy list it has a

I am unable to re-enable and connect.
Any suggestions? Thank you

Finally, maybe deleting and recreating account will solve it.

There is nothing useful here for determining a proxy related problem;
your debug log doesn't contain an attempt to connect to yahoo.
However, the following line
wonder why the proxy fields
are given when they are useless?
Is there any way to sort this problem out?
If not, can anyone please direct me to some other messenger for linux
through which I will be able to chat on yahoo.
Thank you.

to mention that I use Linux exclusively so please avoid giving
solutions for windows or any other OS (I guess windows already doesn't have
this problem).

Since Pidgin doesn't require it's own Login procedure I must assume You
are referring to being able to Sign-in/Login to the individual
Messenger/Talk Services You have previously configured.
