update... since this is a newer version of Seamonkey, I closed
seamonkey, then went to the news folder under the profile, deleted the
newsgroups msf file in the news folder and deleted the folder for the
newsgroup.
While the newsgroup was retained, I had to go back in and re-subscribe
to the secti
I have a similar problem which I assume is due to the same bug...
I use the Mozilla "Threads with Unread" option and can't live without
it. When this happens (a message is lost during download) the message
pointer for the missing message is apparently retained in the overall
message data location

in the preceding release of seamonkey (up to 1.1.19) i was used to have
media player connectivity addon
I can see that it is available in firefox, even in the most recent
releases, so I suppose we could have it also in seamonkey 2x but up to
now, it is not the case.
