SeaMonkey on Mac: Toolbar unresponsive

Using SM 2.13.2 on Mac OS X 10.5.8 (the last supported version for Mac Leopard). Every so often the top toolbar freezes and becomes unresponsive. The only way for me to reactivate it is to restart SM. The right-hand toolbar (clock, Spotlight etc.) is not affected. Any ideas?
