I probably messed this up on my own. Windows 10 trying to attached a pdf file to an outgoing e-mail using Windows Explorer Context menu SendTo E-Mail recipient. It was going to Thunderbird. I deleted the e-mail option and then created a new shortcut in the SendTo folder that called
