I've been trying for several weeks to get my Linux system to successfully
suspend/resume. I was able to suspend/resume in text mode but when I
switched to X mode, system always locked up with garbled video display.
System overview:
- ASUS A7V133 motherboard
- AMD Athlon 850MHz
- 256MB RAM
- Linu

Here is an easy way to speed up the image writing. It simply tell the kernel to
immediatly start writing the data to disk asynchronously and not to do the
traditional
buffering.
Mesurement:
System: pentium D820, Harddisk ~58Mo/s, image size 500Mo
Time of suspend to disk, average of 3 run
