Since you are into arid agriculture perhaps you are familiar with the Burbank thornless cactus. How much cold can it tolerate? We have prickly pear here in Montana but the Burbank looks quite succulent and I wondered if that impaired its cold tolerance. The yield for a dryland crop is enormous.
