Suggest get it analyzed to determine the amount of iron and possible other contaminants. For example, does it contain nitrate/nitrites? Or coliform? The analysis will determine what kind of equipment you need to install. An ion exchange system, with resin chosen to remove the specific miner

Well, if it is only an expert who said it, without sending it to laboratory for test, I would not be so sure. A lab test is not that expensive and then you are more sure of what the water contains. It could be a number of things. Does it smell and if, what? Is it any other things? How does it

Thanks very much for the replies about the water problem. Hakan, I don't know if the water has been tested or not, but the official story is that it is iron. The well belongs to a relative of mine overseas and I haven't even seen it. Apparantly when it is bad it is the colour of strong tea. T
