Assuming the paper towels clean out most of the carbon [I can't imagine that happening], and also assuming the oil had not broken down [viscosity-wise] then you could reuse it. It's up to you, but I really wouldn't recommend it, I've worked on heavy diesels for a couple years, just my opinion. -Ma
