Hi,
I want a line to move along a path like a little snake, so that the line
is always identical with a part of the path.
Is there a way to achieve this?
The lines that I am able to move, behave always like hard sticks.

Thanks Holger,
I have had a look at most of those before, but I will revisit them in case
they have improved their selected text handling.

Hi, Holger-
My mistake. I should have said the 5 biggest browsers in the world.
Now I'm wondering about Lynx... Anyone up to making an ASCII-art renderer
for SVG? You could zoom in and out by changing the font size... And I'd love
to see SVGFonts done as ASCII.

Hi Marc
I am planning to work on SVG FULL. My intention includes optimization
of the files size and rendering time too. My solution should support
those two options. The thing is that when manipulating the file to
reduce file size, there will be a problem when there are animations?!

Hey Mark,
If you can get your viewer seamless with IE and have nice CSS
capablities then I may know of a site that could use it:)
Anyway, I'll download it and fiddle with it for a while. Expect a
few questions from yours truly about it's abilities to create a
dynamic context menu.
Thanks,
Hi !

It works. :-)
The only thing I don't like on it is, that the point of restart is visible.
See: http://hagoschaos.de/test/snake-line.svg
I would like to have it running through, without any interruption.

hi,
you could du the same with stroke-dasharray and stroke-dashoffset. in
that case you would have 2 superposed lines, the gray static as now and
a similar one on top where you would animate the stroking. in that case
you could control the restart in order to start when the line aproaches

Hi,
I'm trying to display glyphs from symbol fonts that appear in the

Francis,
Yes, you could do this. The current version doesn't have the context menu
enabled, but it won't take much to do. We're about to do a new build so I'll
ensure this is in for that.
In terms of the architecture, it would work slightly differently to the way
you have it. First, your XHTML

Hi Holger. Thanks for replying and sharing your ideas. I didn't post
before because I didn't have the time to try what you suggested. The
W3C WD doesn't explain this and leads to the idea you mentioned.
However, I think it wouldn't be possible to attach a definition to
the custom element,
