Hi Zhu, You'll want to check out fill patterns in the spec: http://www.w3.org/TR/SVG11/pservers.html#Patterns The basic idea is to define your fill in a defs/ section using symbols and markers as needed, then apply your fill pattern to the path element. ala a modified example from the spec:
