As David, I am also not sure what do you mean exactly, but have
another interpretation: If you have a filled circle, and you have
another shape which partially overlaps this circle, then the
overlapping part of this shape will be cut out. In such a case put the

To achieve this you would have to paint your mask in black on a white
background. Unfortunately there's no way to set a background color
for a mask. It's alway transparent/equivalent to black.
What you can do is place a white rectangle of large dimension as the
first element in your mask and
