OSIS is XML, so it has a document structure inside. I don't know if the
tools you mention can handle that, without the user having to type the
structure tags...
My idea is to show the document structure in a Tree (just like a bookmodule
in Sword). Also I want to make pre-defined tree

Well, to me this sounds like a worthy project.
Let me know if I can be of any assistance with setting up a project @

I do agree, but there are some reason's why I have chosen for C#:
- I want to learn C# (I have already experience with C and C++, but not C#)
- There's a very good IDE available for free (C# Builder Personal),
Also, it would be cool to have something platform-independent
(java/wxwindows/gtk).

I too am interested in an OSIS editor and will work with you as possible. I have
experience with VB and a little Java only, so probably cannot help with coding.
Have you considered using an established tool (say JEdit or Arachnophilia) and just
coding for the tags?

Hi,
I'm currently working on an OSIS editor (for now only for editing books and
commentaries and lexicons, not bibles), using Borland C# Builder Personal
(the free version). The output it creates is 100% valid OSIS.
Now, it 'would be nice' to have the latest OSIS docs, but I searched and

Converts into a format different from the original files, but still contains
the ThML, GBF or OSIS markup of the Sword modules.

The page says it will be released at the UBS meeting at the end of
June. We're winding down on new issues, so I think release will come
soon--in a week or so perhaps.
I don't know the status of the manual & best practice docs.
Thanks for the info
