Here in Calgary, BBC World is available as part of full analog cable.
BBC Canada is on digital cable only. For those on basic cable, CBC
Newsworld simulcasts a 30-minutes BBC World news program at 4 p.m. MT.
As far as I can tell, nobody around here broadcasts BBC World TV audio
on the radio.

Okay.
Both the "local" public television networks I get (Iowa Public
Television and Wisconsin Public Television, as I am on the
border of both states) airs just a 1/2 hour of BBC news. One
network does it at 5:30 p.m. local and the other at 11:00 p.m.

I was talking about the "BBC World" news-oriented TV service, which is

Thanks for this Richard. I have been wondering about where things are
with the wider distribution of BBC World here in the States. There was
a big announcement 18 months ago or so that they had signed with a few
cable companies, but they certainly haven't been added to DirecTV or any

I occasionally go looking for new additions to the roster of public
radio stations rebroadcasting the World Service in their HD services,
in part because these might provide helpful live streaming
alternatives.
I noted that Kansas Public Radio carries an hour's worth of audio from
the "BBC World"
