The 1948 Oly books are gone. Everything else is still available as I write
this at 9 AM on Tues., but quantites are getting quite small now. The All
Time lists books are still in decent quantity at this point and are wonderful

I'm sure someone can beat this, but I've thrown the open jav 165' with a
2:37 marathon (and 12'6 pole vault). The javelin is kind of cheating since
smaller guys like me have a better chance of doing OK.
Didn't Cummings do a pretty decent decathlon a while back?

With the exception of Bruce Deacon(barely), we Canadians are doing a lot of
training up here this year although relative to population size we aren't a
whole lot worse than the US..

Aubrey Lewis, one of the greatest athletes in New Jersey history,
died yesterday while awaiting a heart transplant at a New York hospital.
Lewis, who once held the WR for the 440-yard intermediate hurdles,
was best knowqn for his football exploits at Montclair HS and
Footlocker on Fox? Why??? First it was the Prefontaine meet, gone from
one of the networks to Fox Sports. Now Footlocker leaves ESPN for Fox
Sports. (Not regular Fox.) Am I unique on this list, or do other Track fans
not get Fox Sports. I already fork out $38.37 a month for umpteen
If it was 2:27 at New York, it was much more than a training run. Call
it a death march.
