There's no trick. Have you opened different pages with similar results?
Are you loading a page where you're automatically put into a search
box so bm is turned off like the default FF start page? Make sure bm is
on and your arrows should work fine.

messages, the following is spoken.
Firstly the subject, then it says Window Eyes, sometimes the author's

F8 is used only when you're in browse mode, e.g. reading a message, on
the web, or in a CHM help file. When you go to the subject line you're
in an edit box and browse mode is off. Use the standard selection keys
