I have had that message before. I go ahead and press the Update and Shut
Down option and have had no problems. That type of update is not as major as
when updating a Windows build as from 1809 to 1903. Again, this has been my
experience.

Hi Tom,
Thank you for the information. When I go to shut down my PC, there is
an option for update and shut down. If I do this, is there anything I
need to know? I have WE set to run at startup. I still need to run it
manyally after Windows is loaded. Should I stop it from loading at the
Hi Tom!
I don't think I would understand any of those error messages.

You will be alerted. At least, I was. A choice appeared in the Windows
Shut-Down dialog. However, when I pressed "Update and Restart," the update
didn't take place. I pressed the Windows key to get the search box and
started typing "update." I pressed Enter and was placed in the Update

Hi David!
On my Win 7 32 bit desktop, I remember HotSpot crashing one day. It offered
to restart the app, I did, and all was well. I haven't had anything crash
in several days, neither Window-Eyes nor an app.

Hi Debby,
If you can clear the message and Window-Eyes works, you're quite fortunate.
I'm trying to get Window-Eyes to load within two virtual machines, one Window 7
and one Windows 10, and it won't load in either.
It works fine on the Windows 10 machine which hosts the virtual machines, which

Hi Tom!
I'm running Windows 7 32 bit and I have Window-Eyes run at the log-in

Thanks. It says I am running 1803 Pro. Will I be alerted to update or
will it happen automatically? Thanks.

Hi Tom,
Could you please clarify which installation files are on the data drive?
Will Windows 10 be installed on the SSD?
If so, your data drive will be quite safe.

Thanks for everyone's help. I do not have Window-Eyes running at start-up. I
have an SD drive and a data drive. My installation files are on the data
drive. Could the data drive be ruined, too?

When I did that a year or so ago and left window-eyes installed, the
machine locked up. I was on line with microsoft and their oly solution
was to completelly blow it away and start over so I lost all of my files
and settings. If you do hleave window-eyes on the machine, set it not
