given regarding the scanner by other helpful listers results in success.
I'm going to remain optimistic that I can make both these things happen.

I have done this successfully, but its definitely tricky. You want to
hit the link which says reply, from there, what I have done is to pass
over the options like bold, etc. and turn off bm and eventually after
doing that I tab into rich edit box where I can type -- its the last
thing in that list
