I am not at my computer, but to get the numbering you wish, try using your
insert key plus the 8 on your number pad. If that does not work, it might
be the 9 key instead. It will tell you the number and the total number of
files.

about it is that when in Windows Explorer and arrowing down my list of
downloaded books, it no longer tells me how many items in the list and which
number in the list is selected.
