[OSM-talk] using walking papers where some data may not be used for OSM

2010-12-16 Thread maning sambale
Hi, Below is a possible use-case scenario we are planning to use OSM and walking-papers [1]. A rural health organization deploys community health workers to monitor household/individual health issues within far flung communities. They want to develop a an internal geospatial dbase of its benefic

Serge, OpenMaps for iOS application works directly with the OpenStreetMap API. We don't store any data on intermediary servers. Every user that makes an edit to OSM via the app does it with their own OSM user. Hope this clears things up. Best regards, Zsombor Szabo IZE, Ltd. On Thu, Dec 16, 201

I think it's great that we have a large and diverse ecosystem of applications in both the web, desktop and mobile space, all wanting to use OSM and in the case of OpenMaps and others, wanting to help close that feedback loop. This is why Free Software and Free Data projects are so valuable, provid

Hi I'm one of the admins of this map. I'm not sure how many languages we're able to render without breaking the server down but I added gcf. It'll take some time until the server restarted and the tiles get rendered. Try to access it tomorrow or so:

You could, if you're worried about multiple languages, do it in this way: All names would have lang:[language abbreviation] tag and the value being the name in that language. The official language(s) for each country would be defined by a tag named lang:official and the value being a string of
