If I make changes to a particular area, they're usually rendered within
a few minutes or hours. But if I go back quickly and change something,
it might take weeks or months for any of the changes to render.
Are you talking about tiles being rendered?
All I do to update the tiles quicker is get the permalink of the current view,
load the permalink in the browser window, then do a deep refresh (usually
shift+F5), which will then load the page like you have never visited it before
(does not use the cache). Hope that helps.

I'm pretty new to the openstreetmap project and have been lurking on
this list for a while. I'm mainly using openstreetmap via Roadee on my
iPhone and in various apps that use the data.
My primary driver for editing the maps is to fix the routing problems
